Week 11: November 15th

Homeroom: Next week is a short week. We only have students present in school on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. We will have Parent-Teacher conferences Wednesday (5PM-8PM), Thursday (4PM-8PM) and Friday (10AM-2:30PM). On Wednesday, it is for parents who want a simple check-in with teachers and for Thursday & Friday it is by appointment only.

ELA:
Students are beginning to explore mystery writing with Mr.Lopez, our student teacher for the year. Students will start projects about mysteries around the world next week. They will be working in pairs or individually on a Slide presentation. Further info to come!

Social:
This week in Social we worked on a project in which, students had to create an original way to welcome new Canadian Citizens by explaining our Rights and Freedoms in Canada. They will have to be ready to present and hand a paper version of their project on Monday, November 25th.

Next week, we'll start completing the Study Guide to get ready for our second quiz (chapter 2) of the year. The quiz will be happening after all presentations are done, so probably Thursday, November 28th.

FLA :
This week, students continued working on their interview project.  The deadline to hand-it in is November 20th.  Here are the project guidelines and rubric : Entrevue.  Next week, we will continue with the book report of ''La plus grosse poutine du monde''.
